Spider Webb Farm Implements

Locations:  Poteau, Okla., and Fort Smith, Ark.
Owners:  Spider Webb serves as the company CEO, while his son Matt Webb works as the president and general manager. Matt’s brother-in-law Mike Stewart works at the Fort Smith store as a salesperson.

What is the history of the business?
Spider Webb opened his main store in Poteau in 1977. The newest location sprang up in Fort Smith in last June when a GMC dealership closed its doors, and allowed a large retail space and lot to become available at Exit 11 on I-540 south.

What are the main products they sell?
Spider Webb Farm Implements of Fort Smith offers a full range of John Deere products. Another popular product line sold by Spider Webb Farm Implements is the Gator ATVs which Matt says appeal to all levels of ranchers and agricultural workers. “We work to build John Deere loyalty and develop the brand,” said Matt.

What makes Spider Webb Farm Implements unique?
One outstanding feature of the Fort Smith location is its large size and wide selection of products. “We are one of the biggest John Deere dealers in the River Valley Area and one of the fastest growing,” said Matt. “We see customers come in with their kids and even their grandkids, and they share their stories and trust us to help them.”

What does the future hold?
While Spider Webb Farm Implements is known for providing tractors and heavy agricultural equipment, they are seeing increases in sales of lawn and garden equipment. John Deere’s new line of Gator ATVs is also a hot seller. “The agricultural market depends on a lot variables,” said Matt. “It depends on commodity prices, fuel costs, world markets, hundreds of variables. But overall, conditions are very favorable for agriculture.”
