History of the business: Fairland Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1982 and has been serving the Fairland community for more than forty years. What began as a rural large-animal practice under Dr. Victor Boyer grew over time into a full-service veterinary hospital providing comprehensive care for pets. His wife Brenda was an important part of the practice, and their children were raised around veterinary medicine helping shape the values and work ethic that continue to guide the hospital today.
Dr. Cody R. Blalock joined Fairland Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian in 2022 and became the owner in 2023. Today, the hospital continues its long-standing tradition of dependable, compassionate veterinary care while adapting to the changing needs of modern pets and the people who care for them.
Our philosophy is straightforward: treat every pet the way we would want our own treated. We believe good medicine starts with careful attention, honest conversation, and respect for every client who walks through our doors. Our mission is to provide thorough, high-quality veterinary care in a welcoming environment where both pets and people feel comfortable and supported.
Our veterinarians and support staff work closely as a team sharing a strong commitment to animals and to doing the job right. At Fairland Veterinarian Hospital, your pet is more than a patient-they are an important part of your family. We are here to support their health at every stage of life and to build lasting relationships with the people we serve.
Services and Future plans: Fairland Veterinary Hospital offers routine care, surgery, internal medicine, radiology, dermatology services and reproductive services on small and large animals. Future plans include to expand to a 5-doctor mixed animal practice with a new building in the next 5 years.
Philosophy: “Treat every pet as if it were your own. Regardless of ownership, regardless of species.”
