Ingredients:
1 C. scalded milk
1 C. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground mace
1/3 C. butter, melted
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 egg, beaten
1 package dry yeast
1/4 C. warm water
4 to 4 1/2 C. flour
2 C. sweet potatoes, cooked, peeled and mashed
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water, then add sugar, butter, egg and lemon juice; mix well. Add milk after it has slighted cooled. Stir in sweet potatoes. Then add flour, salt and mace; add more flour if needed for kneading. Make into rolls, place in a greased pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.
