Owners: Jake and Tamra Agee

Location: Bolivar, Mo.

History: J.C. Meador started Meador Farm Supply sometime in the late 1960’s. He built a fertilizer plant and storage facility on the Frisco Line close to downtown Bolivar. Fertilizer came in by railcar and could then be blended and spread on field surrounding the area.

In 1972, Meador sold the business to the Inglis Family and it became Inglis Farm Supply. The Inglis continued to operate the business until 2000 when it was then sold to Sam and Jerry Hawk who operated the business as Hawk Fertilizer. In 2010, Purina Feed was added to the company profile and the name was changed to Hawk Fertilizer and Feed. Sam’s wife, Bobbie, opened a western wear division of the company, setting up in the main store front. The western wear moved to a new location in October of 2024 and Hawk Western Wear was established.

After much deliberation the Hawks decided to sell the company to allow Sam to spend more time on growing Hawk Angus Farm in Goodson, Mo. The business was offered to Jake and Tamara Agee, who took over the operations in January 2025. The name was changed once again and became Agee Ag LLC.

Agee Ag LLC was formed in 2016 when Jake became an independent sales rep for Pioneer Seeds. Jake saw a need in the area for further services and started offering custom lime, fertilizer and spraying services. These additional services and current farming operation allowed for an opportunity for Tamra to leave her position in town and come home to fully attain her role in the family business. Jake, Tamra and their son, Chris all work daily at the facility.

Services Offered: Agee Ag offers custom fertilizer blends, truck spreading, lime spreading, commercial spraying, chemical sales, soil and hay testing, grain drill rental, sprayer rental, Purina Feeds, creep feeder rental, pasture and rangeland seed, Pioneer seed and seed treatments.

Future Plans: Our future plans include growing the sales in all categories of our business with future expansion of the facilities to further serve the customer.

Philosophy: Being farmers ourselves we believe in providing the best products and services. We understand the importance of custom service and need to be efficient with timely matters. We also see the financial importance of providing our products and services at a fair and reasonable price. We fully intend to help customers achieve higher R.O.I. on all dealings.
