Owner: Jace Polodna

Location: Bolivar, Missouri/Polk County

History: Jace Polodna began his fencing and skid steer business in 2009 when he was still in college where he studied agronomy. “It really began as a side hustle,” Jace laughed, “and it just developed from there into delivering a good product at a good price. I’ve worked with positions within MFA and have always been into fencing.”

He added. “I grew up on my family’s farm in Polk County, where we had beef cattle and row crops. My grandparents, Donnie and Jeanette Lightfoot and Martin and Nettie Polodna both farmed. My dad’s side of the family had dairy cattle until the early 1990s when they sold the dairy and went to stock cows after that.”

Services Offered: Jace operates a three-man crew, including his father, Ron Polodna and their primary job until recently has been to offer agricultural fencing such as pipe and barbed wire to control and corral livestock. They have also worked extensively doing skid steer work, which is basically entry level excavation, using a 10-12,000 lb. machine. In 2024 and now in 2025, they have expanded into the use of heavy equipment such as a track loader, an excavator, and dozers.

“That is going really well. My dad has his own equipment and has brought that and his experience to help.”

Future Plans: “Right now I would say the future would be to keep working and expand on what we have going so far. I have a few cows, Sim-Angus cross on 50 acres. That’s about all I have time for,” he concluded with a chuckle. “I also look forward to spending more time with my wife, Tori and our daughter, Montgomery who will be two in August.”
