• 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped

• 1 onion, chopped

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1/2 tsp pepper

• 2 Tbsp butter

• 2 Tbsp flour

• 1 1/2 C milk 

• 2 C shredded cheddar cheese

• 1 1/2 C chopped ham

• 1 C French’s Fried onions

Heat oven to 300 degrees. Steam cabbage and onion with salt until tender; drain. Place cabbage and onion in a greased baking dish. Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour until smooth. Add salt and pepper; stir in milk. Cook until thick. Add cheese and stir until melted. Remove from heat and add ham. Pour over cabbage and onion. Bake for 20 minutes. Top with fried onions and bake for 15 more minutes.
