OFN Staff Favorite

• 1 pound macaroni

• 2 pounds American cheese, shredded

• 2 sticks butter

• 2 C whole milk 

• 1 pint light cream

• 1 C cornflakes

Cook macaroni for 6 minutes. Do not cook completely. In a saucepan, heat milk and cream to warm. Add 1 stick butter and half the cheese. Heat until melted. Butter a casserole dish. Add macaroni and half of the milk mixture until it reached 1/2 inch below the top of the pan. Crush corn flakes and add one stick of melted butter. Top macaroni with cornflakes. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes, until bubbling.
