• 1 pack yeast

• 2 eggs, well beaten

• 2 Tbsp sugar

• 2 tbsp butter

• 1 C scalded milk, cooled

• 4 C flour

• 1 tsp salt


Two hours before serving, dissolve 1 package of yeast (can use two packages for quickness) in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. In a large bowl, make batter with the eggs, butter and milk. Add flour and salt. Add yeast to batter and beat well. Pour batter into well greased bundt pan and put in a warm place. Allow to rise until almost to the tops of the pan. Place in a hot, 450 degree oven and bake for 10 minutes. Lower to 400 degrees and bake about 20 more minutes.
