What is your current involvement in ag?
“I am president of my teen leaders club in 4-H as well as president of Little Mulberry, the Oark 4-H organization. My grandparents have a farm and let me have all the animals that I want. I have cattle, hogs, goats, rabbits and chickens as well Great Pyrenees dogs. I do my projects on the farm as well as chores to help out.”

Awards:  “I’ve won showmanship with goats, hogs and rabbits. Last year at the state fair I won the rabbit skillathon, which meant identifying, showing and completing a general knowledge performance test. I won state 4-H record book and will go to the congress in Georgia.”

Future plans:  I want to be a vet with a minor in physics because I really love physics. My intention at this point is to work as a country or small city vet to get practical background for an eventual career in animal science research.

Advice to younger students:  “The best advice I could give is for someone younger to start small but eventually try everything. You don’t want to limit the possibilities of finding what would suit you best, and the only way to know is to try. You could end up loving something you never even would’ve considered.”
