How are you involved in agriculture?
“I raise commercial and registered cattle with my family. We have Herefords. I have 10 head in my own herd. Some are registered that I show and the rest are mixed.”

How long have you been involved with cattle?
“All my life. I have always lived on a farm, and we have had cattle as long as I can remember. I have helped from the time I was a little boy and still do. I was given real responsibility when I was 12 or 13. You learn that you must be responsible for your animals. They depend on you.”

Do you intend to make a career out of agriculture?
“Yes. I want to attend College of the Ozarks when I graduate from high school. I’d like to be an Ag teacher, but I always want to have and raise commercial cattle.”

If you could change one thing in the cattle industry, what would it be?
“I would stabilize the price of cattle and tie the price to the cost of inputs.”
