History: Main Street Feeds has been providing livestock feed to local farmers for decades. Originally a co-op run by area farmers, it was bought by Tim and Barbara Dieckhoff, as well as Barbara’s parents, in 1989. At the time, the mill was run out of Monett, MO, which is still the company’s primary location. In 2001, a second location was added in Springfield, MO.

Tim said the Monett location typically serves full-time farmers who need bulk feed, while the Springfield location often sees local part-time farmers with smaller operations.

What started as a company with just four people running the place has now expanded to over thirty employees.

Products & Services: Main Street Feeds is proud to offer custom milled feed to local farmers.

“We can make the feed fit the farm,” Tim said. “Everybody’s got their own little twist and knows what they want, so we can custom mix the feed to fit their needs.”

In addition to feed, the store also carries commodities like animal health products and livestock equipment – everything from fence panels to watering buckets.

Future Plans: Tim said he expects the future of Main Street Feeds to change with the times. As the market changes, he has to keep up with what’s in demand. There’s always new equipment on the line or livestock medicine in the works.

Over the years, Main Street Feeds has served local farmers, meeting livestock needs across the region. Their motto? “We bust ours…to save yours.”
