Ingredients:
1 pound hamburger
1 medium onion
1 clove minced garlic
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 (4-ounce) can chopped black olives
1 (8-ounce) tomato sauce
6 corn tortillas, buttered
2 C. cheddar cheese, shredded
2/3 C. water
Directions:
Sauté hamburger, onion and garlic in butter. Stir in seasonings, olives and tomato sauce. In a round. 2-quart casserole dish, alternate layers of buttered tortillas, meat, sauce and 1 1/2 C of cheese. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 C. on top. Pour water around edges into the bottom of casserole. Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. This recipe can be doubled.
