• Apples

• 4 C sugar, or less

• 4 tsp cinnamon

• 1/4 tsp cloves

• 1/4 tsp salt 

• Nutmeg, optional

Peel, core and chop enough apples to fill a Crock Pot to heaping full.  Add other ingredients and stir. Cook on high for one hour, then lower temperature and cook all day until thick, and dark in color. Put into jars and store in the refrigerator.
