2 packages dry yeast

1/2 C white sugar

6 1/2 C flour

1/2 C melted shortening or oil

2 eggs

1 tsp salt


Dissolve yeast in 2 C of warm water. Add salt, sugar and 2 C flour. Beat with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Add melted shortening and eggs. Beat 2 minutes. Add 4 1/2 C flour and mix well. Let stand for 20 minutes. Make into desired rolls. Let rise one hour. Bake 30 minutes in 350-degree oven until golden brown.
