INGREDIENTS:

1 C gluten-free flour

2 large eggs

1 tsp dried basil

1/2 C milk

1/4 tsp salt

2 C gluten-free bread crumbs

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1 pound mozzarella cheese cut into 16 fingers

1/4 tsp garlic salt

Vegetable oil for frying

Gluten-free marinara sauce for dipping

DIRECTIONS:

Lineup three bowls. In the first bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, dried basil, salt, garlic powder, garlic salt and pepper. In the second bowl, mix the eggs with the milk. In the third bowl, place the gluten-free flour. Roll the cheese sticks in the flour bowl. Roll the cheese sticks in the eggs and milk. Roll the cheese sticks in the breadcrumbs. Repeat steps 3 and 4. Heat the oil in a frying pan or a fryer to 300 degrees. Fry the cheese sticks until golden brown all the way around. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
