Plane Cents Aviation

Owners:  Kiman, Kaland and Kaleb Kingsley
Location:  Miller, Mo.

History:  “We started in 2003,” Kiman Kingsley explained, “and last year we sprayed 90,000 acres of farmland in the four state area.” Brothers Kiman, Kaland, and Kaleb Kingsley operate Plane Cents Aviation. A fourth brother, Kevin runs a separate crop dusting service out of Lamar, Mo. “I went to flight school after the military and started flying pipeline patrol in 1989. I’ve been flying for 24 years now,” said Kiman.

Services:  “We do crop dusting of all sorts, fertilizing corn and soybeans, spraying insecticide for aphids on wheat or Japanese beetles on corn as well as fungicide on green beans and corn. We sprayed fertilizer on rice earlier this year in Arkansas east of Ft. Smith. We have three pilots plus the brothers and five Piper Pawnee planes that can haul an 80-acre load at one time. We also have one Ag-cat that will hold a 160-acre load. We have our own mechanic, do our own fabric work, we do it all here.
“We do a lot of dry seeding as well as liquid. It’s diversified farming. We know about that, too as we also farm 2,000 acres of wheat, corn and soybeans here.” Kiman grinned.
