Rob Higginbotham
In Town: You will find Rob Higginbotham working as CEO at CBW Bank, a small farming bank. Rob has been in banking for 29 years. He worked at Neosho, Mo., and Goodman, Mo., for 19 years.
Family: Rob and wife Kathy have three children: Sonya, Chelsea and Seth.
History: Rob grew up living in town, but with a family farm where they had cattle. In 1986, he moved to his present location and was out of the animal business for a couple of years. The return to farming began when Sonya started showing sheep and rabbits.
In The Country: Rob is passionate about 4-H and FFA. He believes the programs provide positive experiences for the youth. Rob said, “they build a lot of good character. It gives families a chance to be involved with each other.”
Now that the kids are grown, the grandkids are raising and showing sheep and pigs. They have Hampshire and crossbreds. They raised registered Suffolk for eleven years before they got into the pigs.
Rob is looking forward to continuing to work with show animals and children.
