Stoney Point Machine

Owner:  L.E. Baird
Location:  Stilwell, Okla.

Company History:  “Stoney Point Machine began in 1989 as a Farm Equipment Dealership. We sold main line equipment and repaired any make or model or color. SPM focused on customer service and timely dependable repairs. The need for heavy-built equipment in northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas’ farms led to a newly designed hay un-roller. The popularity of this item across the entire region highlighted the need for more user-friendly and dependable products.”

Products and Services:  “In 1994 Stoney Point Machine invented and introduced the SPM 5400 Disc-Mower Caddy. This unit simplified the use of disc-mowers, it allowed the use of lower HP tractors and made hooking up and mowing much easier. The SPM 5400 caddy changed the disc-mower industry. We now have over 200 dealers located in 11 states that offer our products. In 1999 SPM introduced a heavy-built Low-Profile field sprayer available in 335 or 535 gallon capacity. We build land rollers to the customers’ specifications and needs. Drag scrapers up to 14-feet are available.  In 2005 we introduced a new caddy, the SPM 5410; this was in response to larger disc-mowers and different mounting specifications. We repair and rebuild equipment. Hydraulic bale bed repair and problem solving is popular in the feeding season. Custom bale forks for any loader are available. We build to your loader, we do not use “will fit.” Hydraulic bale spikes can be built into your existing flatbed, or mounted in your pick-up.”

Best advice for farmers in reagards to their equipment:
“The only advice I can give to farmers and equipment operators is to perform proper maintenance, and if a problem develops, get it repaired as soon as possible to avoid more costly repairs and the possibility of injury.”
