• 3/4 C sugar

• 1 Tbsp cornstarch

• 1/4 tsp cinnamon

• 1/8 tsp nutmeg

• 1 C water

• 3 cans (15oz.size) apricot halves, drained (can also use peaches)

• 1 Tbsp butter

In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir in water and bring to a boil. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Reduce heat; add apricots and butter, heat through. Pour into greased 2 quart baking dish.

TOPPING

1C flour

1 Tbsp sugar

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3 Tbsp butter

1/2 C milk

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk. Spoon mixture over the hot fruit mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
