• 1 whole baking hen
• 1 1/2 C flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tbs butter
• 1 egg
• Enough water to make a stiff dough
In a large pot, cover the baking hen with enough water to cover, boil. Remove hen and place in a baking pan, and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour. Mix all other ingredients and roll out on a floured surface. Cut dough into wide strips and drop into boiling broth. Shred the meat from the baked hen and add to broth. Cook for about an hour.
