Ingredients:
3 eggs (beaten until foamy)
3/4 C sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
1/3 C butter
1 C dark corn (waffle) syrup
1 C pecans, chopped (if desired)
Unbaked pie shell
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Put into unbaked pastry shell and bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce heat and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. I use one of the egg whites, roll over pie shell covering bottom then beat with rest of eggs. Makes the pie crust bake better.
