What is your position at Northwest Farm & Lawn?
“I’m in sales and customer service. I try to match the customer with the best equipment for their needs. I try to answer all their questions. I consider customers my friends.”
How long have you been involved with ag equipment sales?
“Since 1974. I owned and operated the first Kubota dealership and Krone hay distributorship in Boone County (Brewer Tractor Company). I have worked in sales, parts and service ever since. I began working for my current company in 1989.”
Biggest Change: “When I started, we never sold a tractor under 40 horsepower, and all our sales were to farmers. Now, half of everything we sell is under 40 horsepower and not to farmers.”
Recommendations for farmers: “Buy new and buy local. With zero percent financing, the best deals are currently on new equipment, and they come with warranties. Also, you should support your local dealers because that’s where you will get parts and repairs for years to come. Buy your equipment where you intend to get it serviced.”
