Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 pounds beef tri tips or other cut of steak

• 3 bell peppers

• 1 large onion

• 16 small mushrooms

Marinade:

• 1 tsp minced garlic

• 1 tsp onion powder

• 2 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce

• 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

• 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

• 1 Tbsp vegetable oil

• 1/4 Tbsp black pepper

Cut the beef into 1 1/2-inch cubes. Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl, add the beef, and marinate in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Chop bell pepper and onion into 1 1/2-inch cubes. Thread marinated beef, peppers, onion and mushrooms onto skewers, alternating between each. Brush some of the remaining marinade across the kebabs, including the vegetables, and drizzle with olive oil. Either in a high-heat skillet with oil, or on the grill, cook the kebabs for 2 minutes on each side, 8 minutes in total, until they attain a slight char, continually basting with the marinade. Allow to rest for 3 minutes before serving.
