Location: LaRussell, Mo.

Owner: Joe Yoder

History: Trimline Barns began in 1993. Joe Yoder purchased the business about five years ago from the original owners, who are family friends.

“We had the opportunity to buy it, so we bought it,” Joe said, adding that they built a new building on Highway 96 in LaRussell, Mo., after the purchase. “It was a business opportunity for us. We are a small, family-owned business.”

Products and Services: Trimline Barns offers livestock shelters, chicken coops and tractors, sheds and tiny houses.

“Storage sheds are our main line, and tiny houses,” Joe said. “We have also started doing two-car garages as well. We do a lot of horse barns, poultry houses and coops. We are an Alumi-Coop dealer. I do a lot of 10-foot by 16-foot horse barns and 12-by-20s.”

Most of the structures are built at the LaRussell facility and transported to the customer’s site, and most are portable. Onsite construction is also done.

Joe said his crews don’t do groundwork, but he can subcontract concrete work for larger projects.

“I prefer them to be on concrete pads for garages, shops, and things,” Joe said.

Joe added that 14-feet-by-32-feet garages are growing in popularity, as are cabin-style buildings.

Business Philosophy: “Our goal is to offer quality customer service, satisfaction, and quality buildings,” Joe said. “There are a lot of buildings out there, but our goal is to build second-to-none buildings. I’ve been really blessed with really good customer reviews.”

Other products: Trimline Barns also offers farm-raised beef and eggs at its LaRussell location, as well as a large selection of polo patio furniture, patio decor, swings, barbecue grills and fire pits.

Future plans: Joe said they are busy, so there aren’t any plans to add products and services at this time.
