Location: Miller, Mo.

Owner: Stanley Hostetler

History: Stanley Hostetler and two of his sons, Wayland and Layne Hostetler, started Triple H Feeds in 2011. The business began in a mobile home but now has a storefront location offering a wide range of products to farmers and ranchers in the area.

Products and Services: Matthew Hostetler, Stanley’s son-in-law, who works at the store and the Hostetler farm, where Stanley also owns two laying barns, said Triple H Feeds customers can find bagged feed for cattle, horses, sheep and goats, poultry and other animals.

“We get a lot of feed from Crescent, and we have some non-GMO feeds from Nemo Feed,” Matthew explained. “We have pretty much feed for all livestock, including rabbits, bird fed, and catfish food. We also carry a couple brands of mineral; lots of Ralco minerals.”

Triple H Feed has its own line of horse feed (Triple H Ranch Horse) and calf grower (Triple H Ranch Calf), which is produced by Crescent and may be ordered in bulk.

“Those are two of our biggest sellers,” Matthew said.

For the hunters, Triple H Feeds also offers Real World Wildlife products.

“We carry a variety of food plot seed, and we also carry deer mineral,” Matthew said.

Additional livestock supplies include dewormers, milk replacers, ear tags, some vet supplies, shavings for bedding, poultry supplies, equine products, fencing supplies, hardware, plumbing supplies, lubricants, boots, lawn and garden supplies, and more. Matthew said they also carry some fertilizer, primarily for lawn, garden and fruit tree applications.

“We have everything for people who might have cattle or people who might have a backyard flock of chickens,” Matthew said. “We have a lot of poultry growers, so we also carry what they need.”

Farm and ranch pets are not forgotten with Valu-Pak dog food.

Triple H Feeds also carried things for leisure time, such as Green Mountain Grills, fishing poles, and some tackle.

If Triple H doesn’t have an item in stock, they can work with a producer to order that item.

In addition to the farm store, Stanley owns Triple H Variety. The variety store operated in a room in his home for a time but has expanded to a building located next door to Triple H Feeds. The variety store carries some clothing items, such as bib overalls, Bibles, songbooks, canning supplies, knickknacks, gift items, baby items, sewing notions, and other household items. Matthew said they are considering adding meat and cheese items in the future.

Business Philosophy: The most valuable item at Triple H Feed is its customers.

“Service is our goal,” Matthew said.
