• 2 sticks butter

• 2 C brown sugar

• 1/2 C white syrup

• 1/2 tsp baking soda 

• 1 tsp vanilla

• 2 gallons popped popcorn

Bring butter, brown sugar and syrup to a boil. Add baking soda and vanilla; mix well. Cover the popped popcorn and pour onto a baking sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.  Add nuts, if desired.
