OFN Staff Favorite

• 2 pounds ground beef, browned in 2 tsp butter and drained

• 2 1/2 C fresh mushrooms or 1 1/2 C chopped green pepper

• 1 1/2 C chopped onions

• 1 Tbsp salt

• 1/2 tsp pepper

• 1/4 pound fine noodles, uncooked (small egg noodles)

• 1 1/2 C crushed tomatoes 

• 1 C grated cheddar cheese

Add vegetables, salt and pepper to the browned meat; cook until the vegetables are tender. Meanwhile, cook noodles until tender in boiling, salted water. Drain and add to the meat mixture. Add crushed tomatoes and pour into a 2-quart baking pan, sprinkle with cheese and bake at 275 degrees for one hour.
