Ingredients:

• 1 pound ground beef or turkey

• 2 pounds frozen mixed vegetables

• 1 can diced tomatoes (15 ounces) with juice

• 1/2 diced onion or 2 Tbsp minced onion

• 5 or 6 beef bullion cubes

• 8 cups water

• Garlic to taste

Roux Ingredients:

• 1 stick butter (melted)

• 1/2 C flour

Directions:

Brown meat, then place meat and other ingredients in a crock pot and cook on high temperature for about four hours, or on low for six to eight hours. About a half an hour before serving, make the roux. When roux is combined, add to soup mixture, stir well and cook another 15 to 20 minutes.
