OSU President Burns Hargis and First Lady Ann Hargis will ride a tandem bike alongside Pistol Pete and OSU Chief Wellness Officer Suzy Harrington to lead a sea of 400 bicyclists across the Oklahoma State University campus and through Stillwater on June 12 at 5:50 p.m. as part of the Speed Wheel races.  

Cyclists will be arriving throughout the day and races will begin at 5 p.m. including competitions for men, women and juniors in a variety of distances. 

OSU tandem riders will pace the men’s race at the starting line as part of the America’s Healthiest Campus campaign.  In addition to the First Couple and Pistol Pete, tandem riders will include Stillwater Mayor John Bartley, Free Wheel Director Joy Hancock, horticulture educator Keith Reed and coordinator of Stillwater’s business improvement district Amy Jo Frazier.
