August 13, 4 p.m. – Southwest Missouri Cattlemen’s Association will have a membership roundup at Joplin Regional Stockyards. The guest speaker will be Dr. Dan Thomson from Kansas State. Dan was a big hit at the SW MO Cattlemen’s meeting in April as he discussed the animal welfare issues facing agriculture. In addition, the association will be giving away the Tru Test scale they won last December at the MCA convention. Only current members will qualify for the drawing.
