How long have you been involved with livestock?
“Since I was pretty young, but with cows just a few years.”
Why do you like cattle?
“I chose the Irish Dexter because they’re small and really sweet. I have two heifers and a steer, and I showed all of them this year. They’re really, really docile, and they’re rare.”
Where have you shown your cattle?
“In the national show in Iowa and Tennesse, the Webster County Fair, Dade County Fair and the 4-H Fair in Springfield.”
What’s the best you’ve done at a show this year?
“I’ve gotten Grand Champion at Marshfield.”
Who do you go to for advice about your cattle?
“Ted Anderson. He’s the guy who first introduced me to the breed and he’s been teaching me about them ever since.”
What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
“Do your best and have fun.”
What are your future plans?
“To do something in agriculture.”
