MicroLeverage

Manager:  Dwayne Generaux
Location:  Berryville, Ark.

What is your company history?
“The company started in 2005. Two cousins were in business doing the humified compost process as individuals. All of a sudden they’re getting requests, people saying they need a retail outlet, asking questions like, ‘Can you bag it?’ So the need came up, and these two cousins got together and formed MicroLeverage. From that we’ve been developing products ever since and expanding our market.”

What are your products and services?
MicroLeverage is a complex humus-based soil probiotic that delivers a full microbial ecosystem to any soil, for any landscape. It introduces an array of minerals and helpful bacteria that go to work to promote plant growth, protect the soil from disease and keep life growing.
“Our product is very minerally balanced. If your soil is very tight, you’re not going to grow very good crops. Our product loosens the soil because of humus-based fertility.”
Products include Humified Compost, Ag-Pro Blend, Antler Dirt (deer food plot fertility blend), Neues Leben (humus fertility for all plants in all soils), Root Solution, Defense Solution, Humus Tea and Happy Bird (a poultry floor health additive).
When Happy Bird is applied to the floor of a chicken house, the product will prevent the house from smelling. Dwayne added, “Humus has an incredible ability to soak in nutrients and hold them so that when you put that down in your chicken house, you’ve got good biology in there fighting diseases and everything else, and you’ve got the humus soaking in all that stuff rather than losing it in the air and smelling it.”

What’s your best advice for the farmer?
“The best advice we can give to the farmer is that you’re farming the soil, you’re not farming crops. Farm the soil, feed the soil, take care of the soil and it’ll grow the crops you want.”
