I live in a community full of pranksters and practical jokers. It can lead to a lot of hilarious moments, but it can also, as often as not, bring about confusion and turmoil.

I must admit, I tend to enjoy stirring the pot from time to time.

I don’t know about you, but 2016 ended with a bang for our family.

My heart skipped a beat as I read the headline, “Reindeer becoming smaller due to global warming.” Oh, no, poor Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Vixen, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen, not to mention the most famous reindeer of all – Rudolph.

I must admit, I tend to enjoy stirring the pot from time to time.

Ever since my wife became involved in large-scale egg production, she currently has eight hens, she purchases a few chicks each spring to replace the older hens that have ceased laying.

There’s a segment on the NBC’s “The Tonight Show” called, “I’ve Got Good News and Good News.” Basically, Jimmy Fallon asks news anchors all across America to read bogus news headlines and make them seem real. Viewers know the headlines are fake due to one mitigating factor – the news is positive. Too-good-to-be-true positive.

It always puts a smile on my face when someone does or says something that makes so much common sense, one wonders why no one had done or said it before. When that someone is a youngster, my smile gets even bigger.
