Tucked away in the heart of Tonitown, Arkansas, K+K Vet Supply is a testament to how hard work and dedication can bring a vision to life. Founded in 1988, a trio of men saw an opportunity within the veterinary supply sector and jumped on a chance to join a competitive industry. Over 35 years later their business has grown from a humble portable building to a 160,000-square-foot warehouse with offices in two states.

Inception: Before starting K+K, the three founders, brothers Kenny and David Lipsmeyer and Kelly Bright worked in the industry for a combined 33 years. After multiple years of watching their former employer stand stagnant in that operation, they decided they needed to see a change.

K+K specializes in providing a range of veterinary supplies, with a focus on large animals like cattle. Their priorities are in supplying high-quality inventory, such as medicines, identification products, feed additives and much more. They are also dedicated to efficient service to farms and feed stores across the board.

Growth and Strategy: Expanding their inventory, primarily in the large animal business allowed their business to grow. Through this expansion of inventory, they have been able to supply their customer base with an array of products that suit their store’s needs. K+K has also undergone a physical change through the years. The first home for K+K was a portable office building and a 5000-square-foot rented warehouse. Eventually, in 2002 the business outgrew the warehouse, so they took the steps to build. As of 2024, their entire operation is housed in a 160,000-square-foot building, with a second office in Oklahoma City, and a customer range in 18 states.

Community and Company Values: The values that drive K+K are present in the company culture, shaping employee work and customer satisfaction. K+K is committed to its employees so their employees are committed to their customers.

“Our motto is ‘Service is our name’…Treat people like you want to be treated. You’ll have a happy customer most of the time,” said Kenny.

In supporting employee growth, K+K backs various development opportunities. From attending trade shows to events dedicated to building stronger relationships with clients, all aimed at improving relationships. Additionally, K+K is also committed to serving veterans. By employing and serving veterans, they can continue to represent their core motto.

Future Vision: In the past three decades K+K Vet Supply has continued to be a leading competitor in the veterinary supply industry. Not just the impact they have had on their customers, but also the lives of their employees and community. From their commitment to quality and customer service they are placing themselves at the forefront of the industry.

“We always look for opportunities…Some of them come pretty fast. One thing I have learned is you need not bite off more than you can chew,” noted Kenny.
