What is your involvement in agriculture?
“I am involved in agriculture through my cattle and equine athletes. I train and compete on Quarter horses, and I also raise colts. I rope calves and work cows as well. I compete in team roping, barrels and poles. I participate in between 50 and 100 rodeos a year all around the country, mostly in Oklahoma.”
What is your favorite part of being involved in agriculture or living on a farm?
“My favorite part of being involved in ag is being able to work with animals. I love training and watching colts progress and turn into an amazing animal athlete. My favorite part of living on a farm is all the skills I learn. I learned how to be brave, patient, and strong. I learn to communicate with others, and I’m taught how to care for livestock.”
What are your future plans?
“My future plan, as of now, is to become a professional athlete. I love to rodeo, and I love the adrenaline rush it gives you. I also plan to have a farm. I’ve grown up chasing cattle in fields and feeding horses and that’s something I want to continue to have.”
Awards: “In total, I have won 62 buckles, nine saddles and numerous ribbons.
“I also was recently presented with my chapter’s Star Greenhand Award, and other awards at banquet.”
