How are you involved in agriculture?
"I have raised show animals for the majority of my life. I had sheep when I was little and then we progressed up to goats and cattle. I have shorthorn heifers and commercial steers. I've been in 4-H since I was four and I began showing sheep when I was four."
How do you benefit from being involved in agriculture?
"It produces leadership and I get a good sense of the outdoors, and I like being outdoors.
What lessons do you learn from your work?
Responsibility, keeping up with time on when to feed calves and helping around the barn getting stuff ready to go to a show.
Describe your responsibilities on a day-to-day basis?
"I always have to wake up in the morning and feed calves. Also, not on a day-to-day basis, but generally we wash calves three times a week. We work with them quite a bit right before the shows, and just randomly to keep them from not getting too scared and keep them used to working with us."
What are some of your goals for the future?
"I want to win State Fair, I reserved it last year, so I want to win it this year. I also want to be a livestock show judge in the future." As for college Levi said he wants to go and he's not really sure where, but he's thinking the University of Arkansas.
What's your favorite part of being involved with the family farm?
"It would have to be how much fun I have when I'm outside with the whole family, working the calves and everybody's learning something and everybody's working on something and having fun. Just being outside with everybody."
Who is your role model?
"Probably the person that we buy our cattle from. He's really good at clipping cattle. He's friendly and he's willing to help, and when he sells cattle he drives all over the country and helps people fit them for shows, just to help them out."
