What is your involvement in agriculture? My involvement in agriculture started at a young age. I was introduced to showing pigs at just three months old. My older cousins Shyla and Coy were the ones that inspired me to start showing. Growing up watching them win all the buckles and banners that they had won, I knew I wanted to be just like them one day. This year will be my 9th year showing pigs. I am also involved in livestock judging and currently serving as the FFA Treasurer for the 2025-2026 academic year.
What is your favorite part of being in agriculture? My favorite part about being involved in agriculture is the people I meet along the way. Getting to go to the National FFA Convention last fall was very rewarding. I got to meet people from all across the country that loved agriculture as much as I did. Meeting people from Alaska, Hawaii, and New Jersey, just to name a few, was something I don’t take for granted.
What are your future plans? I am currently enrolled at Oklahoma State University for concurrent classes. After high school, I plan to continue my education at Oklahoma State University majoring in Accounting while minoring in Ag Business.
