What is your off-the-farm job/career? “I am a professional photographer and content creator through my business, Chyanne Fogg Photography. I specialize in livestock, western lifestyle, and agricultural event photography, working with producers, breeders, and organizations across the region. My goal is to tell the story of agriculture through images and video – whether that’s capturing sale cattle, livestock shows, rodeo athletes, or day-to-day ranch life. This career allows me to not only build a business of my own, but also highlight the people who are helping move agriculture forward. With a deep rooted background in agriculture and understanding of the industry, I’m able to showcase not just how things look, but the quality, purpose, and story behind them.”

Farming operation: “My husband and I operate a small cattle operation. We run both registered and commercial cattle, primarily focusing on Beefmaster and Charolais genetics. Our goal is to raise functional, high-quality cattle that work in real-world conditions while still offering the performance and consistency producers are looking for.

“Our focus is on building a cow herd with strong maternal traits, structural soundness, and longevity. While we may be smaller in size, we prioritize quality over quantity and are intentional about every decision we make within our program.”

What do you enjoy most about being a farmer/rancher? “The sense of purpose and the opportunity to be part of something bigger than myself. Agriculture isn’t just a job – it’s a way of life that takes resilience, grit, and a deep commitment to the land and livestock.

As a woman in this industry, I value being able to contribute, lead, and help shape the future of our operation while honoring the traditions that came before us. It’s rewarding to prove that women belong in every aspect of agriculture – from behind the camera to out in the pasture making decisions that matter.

I also cherish building this life alongside my husband. Working toward shared goals, growing our herd, and overcoming challenges together makes every success that much more meaningful. At the end of the day, it’s the pride in what we’re building and the legacy we’re creating that makes it all worth it.”
