Hometown: Schell City, Missouri
County: St. Clair
Family members: Larry Bray, husband. Son, Shawn Bray and future daughter-in-law Morgan Bellamy. Son, Devon and daughter, Alivia
In Town: I have worked in the banking industry as a document specialist since 2019. I have recently retired early to become a full-time grandma.
In the Country: My husband and I live on 20 Acres in rural St. Clair County. Although we do not raise any livestock, we have 2 large ponds that are stocked with large catfish and we raise a few chickens for the eggs. I have dabbled in gardening, but the wildlife enjoy it more than I do. My son Shawn and his fiance’ live on our property as well and are looking forward to raising their son in the country and enjoying the fresh air and rural lifestyle.
What do you enjoy most about living in the country? I enjoy being able to help others by providing a quiet place to get away from the city lights. We have a lot of family events at our place and everyone really enjoys the peace and quiet of country life. The kids enjoy being able to hang out on the pond banks and feed the catfish and they also enjoy being able to catch and release every once in a while. We have several acres of woods on our property and they make great walking trails. We are also able to enjoy the abundant wildlife such as deer and turkey that live in our area.
We are next to the Schell City conservation wildlife area and very close to the Osage River access. This allows us to enjoy more of the outdoors by taking advantage of the local boat ramp and being able to spend alot of time on the river fishing.
