• 2 C flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 C shortening
• 1 C sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 C mashed bananas
• 1 Tbsp vinegar and enough milk to equal 1/2 C liquid
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/2 C chopped walnuts
Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside. In a large bowl cream together sugar and shortening, add eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas and milk mixture, beating well after each edition. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into prepared loaf pans. A loaf pan takes about 60 minutes at 350 degrees, four small loaf pans take 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven and let set 5-10 minutes and remove from pans.
