Location: Gentry, Ark.

Owner: Rob Curran

History: Bob Curran started Curran Feeds in 1946 in Gentry, Ark.

Bob’s son Larry and his wife, Lou Ann, continued the business until 2010 when the doors were closed. Another feed company operated the store for about eight years, but Curran’s came back into the family in 2018 when Rob Curran, the son of Larry and Lou Ann, took over ownership and management of the longtime business.

Products and Services: Curran’s carries feed for all classes of livestock. If a farmer or rancher is looking for a product that might not be on the store shelves, Curran’s can order it and have it quickly in house.

Most of the feed in stock is sourced from Crescent and MFA.

In addition to bag feed, Curran’s also offers custom mixes with a minimum order of 500 pounds. Floor stock and custom mixes can also be ordered in bulk bags with a 1,000-pound minimum.

Curran’s All-Stock, which is a custom three-way mix of corn, DDG (dried distillers grain) and soy hull pellets with molasses for dust control and palatability, is in high demand by customers.

For those with show animals, Curran’s carries Show-Rite products and Evolution Show Feed for sheep and goats.

Curran’s also carries a wide selection of Ragland minerals.

A complete line of vaccinations and other veterinary supplies for livestock is available, as well.

Pet owners can find Diamond Natural and Hi-Point dog foods, and vaccines for puppies and kittens.

Feed and vet supplies aren’t the only products at Curran’s.

Customers can peruse fencing supplies, hardware, horseshoes, pesticides and herbicides, net wrap and baling supplies, poultry supplies, a custom wild bird seed, among other items.
