History: Scott Hill bought an existing feed and farm supply business in 2016, and started Hill’s Feed & More.
Sales Manager Elliott McClure said Scott is a longtime livestock producer in the area.
“He’s always been in the ag sector, and this opportunity came up for him,” Elliott said.
Products and Services: Customers at Hill’s Feed & More can find bulk and bagged feed for all species of livestock, livestock supplements (including tubs and loose mineral), hay, fencing supplies, landscaping supplies and agricultural chemicals.
Feed at Hill’s Feed & More is sourced from Purina, ADM, Hills and Crescent, as well as others.
Hill’s does not mill feed, but works with dealers and customers to make special bulk orders and mixes, and arrange for delivery.
For those looking for hard-to-find feeds, Hill’s Feed & More might be the right stop.
“We’ve got monkey feed to kangaroo food, all the way up to cats, dogs, horses, everything,” Elliott said, adding that they get calls for exotic feeds more than once a month.
Hill’s Feed & More offers basic veterinary supplies, livestock vaccines, some hardware, welding supplies, poultry supplies, fly control products, livestock supplies, ropes, horseshoes, bedding chips, pet supplies, toys, boots, clothing and many other items. For the gardener, there is also plant food and fertilizers.
“If we don’t have what they need in stock, we can usually get it in in a week,” Elliott said. “I have a couple of suppliers for cake feeders and bucket bins. We also sell and rent creep feeders.”
The store is also a Big Green Egg dealer.
“We sell more than I thought we would,” Elliott said with a laugh.
Hill’s Feed & More holds a chick day in the spring, and Arkansas Pond Stockers makes stops at the store monthly in the summer.
Elliott said Hill’s is always looking to add new products to help keep the business growing.
Business Philosophy: “We try to sell our customer service first and foremost,” Elliott said. “We feel like we set ourselves apart with customer service, and if you buy just one bag of fee from us, you will get that customer service.”
