Ingredients:

2 1/2 C rolled oats

1/4 C oat bran

1/4 C steel cut oats

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 C white sugar

1/2 C brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp nutmeg

2 C milk

1 egg, beaten

1/3 C apple juice

1/4 C melted butter

1 tsp vanilla

2 C peeled, diced apples

Directions:

Grease a 9-by-9 pan or a 2-quart casserole dish. Combine dry ingredients. In a separate bowl combine wet ingredients. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix lightly. Now all ingredients except the apples are combined. Bake 400 degrees for 20 minutes covered tightly with foil. Uncover and stir in apples. Bake uncovered another 20 minutes. Top with cream or maple syrup. Freezes and reheats well.
