INGREDIENTS:

2 cans of apple fruit filling

1 box vanilla cake mix

2 sticks butter (do not use margarine)

Small bag of pecan chips

DIRECTIONS:

In a 9-by-13 baking dish, spread the apple filling evenly on the bottom. Sprinkle about half of the cake mix over the filling. Slice butter into thin pats and cover the top, then sprinkle some pecan chips over the top and place in a 325-degree oven; cook until butter has melted. Remove from the oven and sprinkle more cake mix over the top, then bake for an additional hour at 325 degrees. Note: I usually have about half of the cake mix left over.
