COLUMBIA, Mo. – The keynote speaker for the Nov. 7-8 Pearls of Production event for women in agriculture is the new host for U.S. Farm Report.

Farm Journal Media announced Oct. 6 that Tyne Morgan is the new host of U.S. Farm Report, the nation’s longest-running television program focused on agriculture and rural America.

Morgan takes over for John Phipps, who remains as the program’s on-farm commentator.

A former Missouri State Fair queen, Morgan grew up in Lexington, where her father is an agriculture teacher and FFA adviser. She earned a degree in agricultural journalism at the University of Missouri and joined Farm Journal Media’s broadcast division in 2012 as a national reporter. U.S. Farm Report airs weekly on more than 160 local affiliates nationwide and twice each weekend on RFD-TV.

Pearls of Production: Women in Agriculture, Nov. 7-8 in Columbia, covers food and nutrition topics, farm safety, self-care, estate planning and finance, and hands-on training for swine, cattle, sheep and forage producers. Morgan will speak at the conference dinner on Nov. 7.

MU Extension, Lincoln University Cooperative Extension and the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources sponsor the annual event.
