Sixteen contestants are set to compete in the Miss OSU pageant on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 8 p.m. in the Seretean Center Concert Hall on the Oklahoma State University campus.

The categories for the competition include a parade of contestants, an on stage questionnaire, swimsuit competition, talent competition and evening wear competition. The winner and four runner-ups will receive cash scholarships ranging from $1,200 to $150.

“This year, the Miss OSU Pageant will have twice as many contestants as we did last year,” said Brandon Mitts, Miss OSU executive director and coordinator of Allied Arts and special events. “For some of the contestants this is their first pageant, and there are also a few that have competed in the Miss Oklahoma Pageant already.  Most of the contestants will be doing vocal for their talent, but there is some dance as well.  We hope that the OSU and Stillwater communities will turn out for a fun evening.”

Miss OSU is part of the Miss America pageant system. The woman selected as Miss OSU automatically qualifies to compete in the Miss Oklahoma pageant.
