Every year, Oklahoma State University devotes a day in the spring to honor mothers and all of their hard work. On Saturday, April 13, Mom’s Day will be hosted in conjunction with the annual Spring Sing production. This fun-filled day of events, activities and productions has something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the most popular events during this day is the Mom’s Day Craft Fair hosted by Parent and Family Relations. On Saturday, the Atrium of the newly renovated Student Union will be filled with 16 vendors and more than 21 booths covered in one-of-a-kind merchandise from all around Oklahoma. Moms and families will be able to browse through hand-beaded jewelry, licensed kitchen items, frames and signs, hand-painted décor and so much more. The annual Craft Fair brings people from all around the community together to shop for reasonably priced items that are unique to the culture of Stillwater.

“The Craft Fair is a great way for mothers and families to take home a souvenir from Stillwater with the memory of Mom’s Day attached,” Fran Gragg, OSU Parents Association coordinator, said. “Locals are also able to grab a gift that reminds them of home and Oklahoma State. This is a great way to get everyone involved and give the mom’s a break between the events during the day.”

Since the 1980s the Craft Fair has been hosted during this special day to give mothers an opportunity to shop around and find a special treasure.  There will be a large variety of items to look at as people make their way around the booths. The Mom’s Day Craft Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 in the Student Union Atrium. Admission is free for all attendees.
