Researcher Joel Wong will discuss “The Psychology of Men and Masculinities: Implications for Health, Dating and Pretty Much Everything Else in Life” at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Oklahoma State University.

The lecture is free and open to the public. It will be held in Room 236 of the Human Sciences building on Monroe Street.

“Dr. Wong is a renowned expert on men and masculinity, and it is a privilege to have him speak at Oklahoma State,” associate psychology professor LaRicka Wingate said.

Wong is an associate professor in the counseling/counselor education and counseling psychology programs at Indiana University Bloomington. He has authored or co-authored 62 scholarly publications and in-press papers.

Wong won the 2011 Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinity, Division 51 Researcher Award. He is the associate editor for the American Psychological Association’s journal Psychology of Men and Masculinity.

The talk is part of the Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma Lecture Series and is presented by the OSU Department of Psychology. For more information, phone 405-744-2988.
