How did you get started in agriculture?
“When I was about 6, my dad bought horses and told us we had to take care of them and learn to ride. Currently we have five horses including one colt. Part of the process of taking care of the horses was learning how to break the colts. It’s really fun because you watch how the colts react to everything you do such as breaking them to wearing a halter. My favorite thing to do with horses now is just riding and taking them down to the creek and in the water. Sometimes we race on the back roads, and that’s fun too.”
Who is the most influential person in your life?
“I think I would have to say the most influential person is my older brother closest to me in age. His name is Jacob, and he gets me to push myself as hard as I can. For example, he was wrestling before me and pretty much talked me into wrestling too, and it has turned out to be one of my favorite things to do.”
Future Plans: “I want to go to college and get into some aspect of medicine. I haven’t looked into colleges or decided what part of medicine yet but will when the time gets closer.”
