BRANSON, Mo. –FilmFest 4-H organizers announced Wednesday, June 6, that television series editor Farrel Levy has joined the ranks of workshop presenters at this year’s festival, Aug. 5-8 in Branson. Currently at work on the CBS television series “Person of Interest,” Levy’s experience with film and television editing spans more than two decades. Her television work includes series such as “Criminal Minds,” “NYPD Blue,” “The Defenders” and the 2009 revival of “Melrose Place.”

“We’re thrilled to someone of Farrel’s stature instructing our young filmmakers,” said Ina Linville, program director for University of Missouri Extension 4-H.

Levy will instruct festival participants on editing basics, such as the use of cutaways, timing and length of shots. Other presenters scheduled to appear include casting director Joni Tackette, videographer Russ Weston and writer-director Sandy Tung.
